The Ultimate Rabbit Hole #32

Ultimate Rabbit Hole (2)

Hello lovely ones,

Wow, what a week. I don’t know about you, but I’m exhausted and could sleep for days!

I returned home from Pro-Blogger on Sunday and haven’t had a chance to process it all yet, because I went straight into a huge week work wise.

I haven’t really talked much about work here on the blog, I do tend to keep it separate but in this case work and blog land collided which was pretty cool. I work in Marketing on the Telstra Business Awards and Telstra Business Women’s Awards programs. Part of a team whose job it is to discover, award and celebrate the achievements of Australia’s best small to medium businesses and the countries most inspiring business women.

Nikki from Styling You was a national finalist in the National Biz awards Thursday night after winning her category at the state level back in July. So I got to meet her, which was fabulous and she was just so lovely. She also gave me a signed copy of her book which I can’t wait to start reading, if mum doesn’t steal it from me first.

Nikki had quite the cheer squad at the black tie gala – Beth from Baby Mac, Christina from Hair Romance and Mrs Woog. All my fave bloggers who started around the same time, and met online. All pioneers in  blog land who so many of us look up to.  I loved meeting Beth. I had met the gorgeous Christina previously when I did her Little Blog Big Workshop but unfortunately didn’t meet Mrs W. Maybe next time.

So that was the highlight of my huge week!

Apparently I’m running a 14.5km fun run tomorrow, but I’ve woken up with a scratchy throat so we’ll just see how we’re travelling as to whether I do it or not. If I do, the huz might be waiting a while for me at the finish line, my training as been err… non existent!

Anyway, enough of me… here’s some bits I’ve found around the traps this week I thought you may like…

Here’s some pretty desk top wall papers to brighten your day.
How cool are these aquarium rock planters from A Beautiful Mess!
Having just come back from attending Pro-blogger,  this post from Mumma McD had me LOL!
These baked banana muesli bites from Pretty Wee Things would make a perfect lunchbox snack and are so easy!
Do you struggle to get your kids to brush their teeth? This printable from Chantelle at Fat Mum Slim may help.

Now for the Ultimate Rabbit Hole! Here’s how it works…

  • It opens Every Saturday morning
  • Bloggers can add their link list posts or just their favourite post of the week
  • Pop by and say hello to the other lovely linkers and leave them some comment love.
  • You can link up here, or visit my awesome co-hosts, Karin at Calm to Conniption, Jess at A little Part of the World or Sam at The Annoyed Thyroid. It doesn’t matter where you add your link, it will appear on all four blogs, as if by magic!
  • The link up will stay open until midnight the following Monday.

  1. Your job sound like it can be fun at times. Gotta love that. Hope you feel better before the fun run though….unless you’re keen to avoid it lol
