Taking Stock January 2016

taking stock

One month down, 11 to go! It’s time to take stock once again, inspired by Pip from Meet Me At Mikes.

Taking Stock is such a great way to look back at the month that was, breathe it all in and brace for the rest of the 2016. Here we go…

Taking Stock: January 2016

Making : Time for the important things… family, cooking & yoga

Cooking: All the things in my Bellini (poor lady’s Thermomix) that The Huz has affectionately nicknamed the ‘Thermomox’ or just ‘The Mox’ for short.

Drinking: Banana, Mango, Kale & Coconut water smoothies and Sleepytime Tea

Reading: I just finished Rosie Waterland’s Anti Cool Girl (Aweseome read!) and have just started Big Magic By Liz Gilbert

Wanting: A new hammock. I have the trees and the ropes but no hammock :(

Looking: Forward to seeing Zoolander 2

Playing: This addictive star wars game (R2D2 Bop It) Master 4 got for Chrissy

Deciding: Where to stay in Noosa for our family trip later in the year

Wishing: Summer holidays could continue all year

Enjoying: Summertime BBQ’s and get together’s with friends

Waiting: For the Easter break

Liking: All the first day back to school photos in my news feed

Wondering: How essential oils work?

Loving: The Australian Open Tennis

Pondering: What new TV show’s to watch when ratings season starts

Considering: A major home reno but no idea where to start

Buying: On sale from Witchery, Sportsgirl and Bohemian Traders

Watching: The Bachelor USA! It’s a whole different level than the Aussie show!

Hoping: Miss 6 settles into her new class ok

Marvelling: At my little first grader and all that she’s becomming

Cringing: That Miss 6 really really wants her ears pearced. I’d planned on waiting at least a couple more years but she’s bugging me every single day!

Needing: To get fitter and get back into running

Questioning: If I could do Feb Fast and give up wine for a month #notachance

Smelling: My blooming Frangipani’s. Reminds me of our wedding almost 9 years ago!

Wearing: Heels again after weeks in my Thongs and it’s killing me!

Following: Constance Hall #likeaqueen

Noticing: How often the shops have sales these days!

Knowing: That I need to cut back on the wine

Admiring: Outgoing Australian of the Year, Rosie Batty and the incredible work she has done over the past year in getting DV on the national agenda

Sorting: Everything. Room by room. We have just had hard collection and had the biggest clean up. I can’t believe how good de-cluttering makes you feel

Getting: Excited researching holiday accom – even though October is so far away!

Bookmarking: Bellini and Thermomix recipes. It really is a whole new world

Coveting: The new NutriBullet RX

Disliking: Footy thugs and the irresponsible things they do

Opening: A shoe box. My new shoes of prey just arrived!

Giggling: At all the things my kids say. Master 4… “When I grow up I want to be a work”

Feeling: Happy & Healthy – trying to stay in the holiday mind set for as long as possible

Snacking: On bliss balls and I can’t wait to try these 3 recipes

Helping: Master 4 learn how to wipe. Oh yeah!

Hearing: Triple J’s hottest 100 of 2015 (on Spotify)

    1. Lots of basics happening in the Mox lately but it’s been life changing already! I just need to get more adventurous now! Xx
