The Ultimate Rabbit Hole #73

the ultimate rabbit hole

Hello Lovely ones,

I’m feeling the sads today because this will be my last Ultimate Rabbit Hole post. Sob sob.

Truth is, I’ve been feeling the overwhelm lately, trying to do all the things. Work is ramping up and from now until the end of the year, it will be crazy. I’ve come to the conclusion that something’s gotta give, so I’ve decided to scale things back a wee little bit on the blog, (not stop completely, just post less frequently) which means letting go of co-hosting the ultimate rabbit hole :(

As much as I love this little place {gosh you guys rock}, I know if I don’t change something now,  I’ll burn out. But there’s always a positive with these things and I’m thrilled to hand my baton {and bunny ears} over to the wonderful Paula from The Geeky Shopaholic.

You may already know and love Paula, she’s been a Rabbit hole linker-up-er-er for a while now. But if not, then let me tell you, you will absolutely love her!

So from next week, you can link up with Karin,  Sammie or Paula! I’ll still be around linking up every now and then (you can’t get rid of me that easily) so I’m sure I’ll see you around the the blogosphere. Huge thanks for all your support and for linking up with us each week. I love reading all your posts. You are all just wonderful!

So here we go… I’ll leave you with my last link list (sob sob) for your weekend reading pleasure…

My fave read of the week was this – The Secrets Behind Why Women Over 35 Give No F*cks.

Did you watch Recovery in the 90s? If so, you will love this trip down memory lane – The 25 Best (and most awkward) Recovery Moments

Krissy has us covered with 7 Quick And Healthy Packaged Snacks For Kids.

Wanna know what Richard Branson’s greatest wish is?

It’s the anniversary of our friends passing coming up next week so this post from Gala Darling was yet another lovely reminder of what’s most important in life – Nothing is Promised: Treasuring the Love You Have.

From Veggie Mumma, here’s 13 vegetarian soup recipes to warm you up this winter. Pass me a bread roll!

And finally, Gwenyth’s NYC Apartment is for sale, here’s a sneak peak!

What’s your fave soup recipe? What’s your greatest wish? Did you watch Recovery in the 90s too?  What are you up to this weekend?

  2. All the very best of luck to you Shannon! I think everyone understands overwhelm and having to sometimes let something go to ease up the pressure. Good on you for recognizing the need and acting on it. As for a favourite soup recipe – oh my gosh – that is hard! I love so many – but there is a particular zuchinni soup recipe that I got from my mother that the whole family here absolutely loves! I also love pumpkin soup, and pea & ham soup, and chicken & veg soup … and, and, and. Yep – I love my winter soups! :-) x

  5. Congrats on the decision Hun, it’s never an easy one or one taken lightly when you put so much into these things.
But it’s important to recognize it & do something about it.
I’ve scaled back heaps & it’s the best thing, more is not necessarily more when it comes to blogging, even though they make you believe it is, especially when in all essence it’s a hobby.

    1. You hit the nail on the head hun! Thanks for your lovely support. Love this little blogging community we’ve got! Xx
